Join us from 1–3 p.m. on February 21, 2026, for a guided winter hike off trail around Fort Ancient with staff members Billy Wagner on Feb. 21 & Keith Bengtson on Feb. 22. You’ll be able learn about the history of the site and the plants and animals that live here.

Keith Bengtson is a long-time employee of the Ohio History Connection, and former site manager of Fort Hill, Serpent Mound and SunWatch Indian Village. He currently works at Fort Ancient. Keith holds a B.A. in U.S. history and Native American studies from Northland College in Wisconsin. He has also studied extensively with members of the Ojibwe Nation and many museums.

Admission: $10/person (not recommended kids under age 8). Free for Ohio History Connection members.
