When people talk about the fur trade, it's usually about the beaver trade and Canada—but here in southern Ohio, it is about the transition zone between the fur trade of the Great Lakes and the deerskin market in Appalachia.

Historian Keith Bengtson will discuss the history of the deerskin trade and how it shaped the politics of the Ohio Valley.
