You are invited to celebrate a special milestone: The third anniversary of the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks’ inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
The Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks will come alive Sept. 19 with special events, activities and opportunities to explore. Discover fascinating stories, walk among the monumental earthworks and experience the incredible places that earned global recognition as a World Heritage Site.

The anniversary weekend will feature a special World Heritage Inscription Anniversary celebration, cake cutting at 3 p.m. at the Great Circle, an evening of Stars & Nighttime Wonders at Fort Ancient, a guided Tour of the Great Circle Earthworks with Dr. Brad Lepper, and a Newark Earthworks Remnants Tour.
